Why should you get gel nails, and why not?

Are you thinking about getting your nails done, but you really don’t know yet?

You are in the right place then!

I had my nails first done, when I was 15 (6 years). I trust only one person to make them, and they are gel.

My ideal shape is round and I tend to choose more girly and pastel variations.

My Alice in wonderland inspired ones:

  • They are beautiful. They look perfect and you can design them yourself. It’s a great way to express your style.
  • Radically less breaking. If your nails break all the time, this will stop. Your nails won’t break unless grown out too long.
  • People (oh and pets) LOVE when you scratch them.
  • Your nails last (around) a month without any maintenanceWhich is great if you are lazy as me.
  • Your cuticles will thank you. If you have dry, painful cuticles and nothing help, then this will.

  • It hurts sometimes. Curing can be torture, especially around the time of your period.
  • Your own nails are weak afterwards. Your nails will grow back stronger, but until then, they will break like crazy.
  • They take a long time to make. File, shape, cure, file, color, cure, file, enjoy! Perfection takes time. A few hours of time, to be honest.

Have you ever had gel nails? Do you like them? Let me know about your experiences, I’m curious!

Add some flowers into your life.

Recently, I’ve bought some flowers. And I must say, they are magnificent.

I think many of you already know this, but looking at flowers everyday is magical. It doesn’t only make you feel happy, but also shows you how beautiful this world is!

When I was living on my own, in my tiny apartment, I had no plants whatsoever. I didn’t really worry about it. But when I returned back to live with my parents, I realized that I really missed the nature. My mom really loves flowers, so she puts them everywhere she can. And I see why. My moods are better, and I appreciate even the smallest things lately.

So I’ve bought bonsai (Carmona Microphila) and orchid (Phalaenopsis multiflora).

This is not my particular bonsai. I have to replant him first, so I’ll show you later.

I hope I can keep them alive, because every plant I ever had, didn’t last more than a month. I keep forgetting about them. So, I will do my best this time.

What is your favorite flower (plant)? Do you have any?

There is no better way to enjoy spring, than with nature. So let’s all leave our computers and phones, and spend some time outside!

10 Romantic Valentine’s Day Ideas

Hey there. As the day of love is just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put together a short list of romantic, yet simple Valentine ideas to do.

So without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

Cute classical date

It’s totally okay to spend this day classical way, right? This may even make it more romantic. So take your date ice skating. There is nothing more beautiful and sweet than holding hands, laughing and having a great time together. Then you can warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in a nice café.

Luxurious Evening

If budget is not a problem than invest in a 5 course meal. Dress up in your best attire. Have  dinner at a nice restaurant, with wine and candles and enjoy romantic and very special evening.

First date

Recreate your first date. This is a great way for you to show your loved one how much you remember. Kiss on the same spot as your first kiss, walk the same path or eat the same food. If you remember you can even express love in a same words. There is nothing more romantic than bringing up memories of how it all started. You might even fall in love again.

Getting lost

Explore your city! Go on romantic walk and see if you can get lost.

Just be careful, don’t get lost for real. When we did this once, we got seriously lost and couldn’t find a way back for an hour or so. But with a little bit of team work, this ended up being  (most embarrassing and) the funniest adventure we ever had together.

Romantic dinner with a twist

This is actually something we are planning this year, as it contains all of our favorite activities together.

Plan what you want to eat, shop for groceries together and then cook everything. Preferably something totally romantic, for example Pizza in a shape of heart, you can top it with what you love, and if each of you loves the different type of pizza, let your differences  work together, top it in half. Then eat it while watching your favorite movie or playing board games. You can even set the table for two with candles and have perfect romantic dinner.

Cute little something to grow your love

Write a love letter

There is nothing more romantic than your feelings handed to your loved one for them to cherish forever.

Plan together

Nothing brings people together like planning a day, especially as important as Valentine’s day or your anniversary.

Make a photo album

Collect all of your memories together, and have something to come back to when in need.

First anniversary gift for him, he loved it.

Cute note or breakfast in bed

If you live with your loved one, you can leave a beautiful note for them to find, or make breakfast in the bed for them. With just a little effort they will feel special and loved.

In the end, I would like to say that once you love someone make sure to celebrate and cherish them every day.

I hope you enjoyed my post, if you have any more ideas, feel free to share them with me.

And also, make sure to celebrate Valentine’s day with as much love as possible.
