10 Simple Self Care Ideas

Self care is important. No doubt about that. But how exactly can we take care of ourselves?

I present you 10 simple ways to self care, you should definitely try to introduce to  your everyday habits.


  1. Eat more fruit and vegetables to stay healthy and fresh. Fruit and vegetables are awesome. They work miracles with your body and mind.
  2. Drink tea. Make it habit to enjoy your favorite cup of tea, even if it’s just a few minutes in the morning. Stop the time around you and calm your soul.
  3. Give yourself a break. Step away from your desk at least once an hour,that’s an order!  Clear your head and come back with fresh thoughts. I’ve once studied for the whole day without break, and trust me, the outcome was terrible.
  4. Spend more time in nature. Fresh air, amazing scenery… and of course nature. What’s more beautiful. Go for a walk and I assure you, you will find something beautiful.
  5. Keep track of your goals. Set new ones and feel motivated. You can review them daily, so you feel motivated.
  6. Do more of what you love. Enjoy your hobbies.
  7. Nourish your relationships. Call your family and make sure they know you love them. Meet up with your friends, because friends are awesome.
  8. Dance more often. There is nothing more relaxing than forgetting all your problems and jump around for a few moments. You can dance while preparing your breakfast or washing your teeth.
  9. Get more sleep. Do you sleep enough? Only on the weekends, right? I’m guilty too. Go to bed a little earlier. You can thank me later.
  10. Once in a while, spoil yourself. After a whole semester of not spending any more money than needed, I decided to stop at my favorite cafe and I also bought planner I’ve dreamed of for years. It was the best feeling ever.

I believe that after trying some of those types, you’ll feel motivated and happy.

5 Teas Worth Dying For

If you drink tea on a daily basis, you will live longer. (Or at least I hope, otherwise my whole life efforts are worthless.)

Usually, it reaches up to about four (sometimes even more) cups a day. It’s an obsession, I know. But what can I do, I can’t help it.

I find myself drinking mostly green tea from Japan. Which is awesome, as it is super healthy, boosts metabolism and functions as coffee.

5. Sencha

This is the most common type of Japanese green tea out there. If you like Sencha, you are going to love all the other teas below.

I like to drink a cup of Sencha while being productive, so I feel refreshed and motivated.

4. Green jasmine tea

This is my all the time, every mood tea. One of the reasons I love it so much are memories. We used to enjoy a nice pot of jasmine tea every time we got together with my friends.

3. Sakuracha

Also referred to as Sakura kukicha

I fell in love with this tea just recently, I drank a whole package in just two days, then I cried for next two days, because I needed more. Still worth it.

It tastes like a fine cup of green tea with Sakura flavor peeking out behind the corner. There is nothing more relaxing.

2. Genmaicha

Genmaicha is a green tea with toasted brown rice. It’s a cheaper type of tea, but that surely doesn’t mean it’s worse than other tea types.

It’s kind of everyday tea for me. When I finish one pot, I go and make another one without even thinking about it.  Also, the first and only green tea my boyfriend likes.

1. Matcha

I like to remind everyone that Matcha is the healthiest of all teas, because you ingest the entire leaf and receive all of the nutrients. People are probably irritated by now, but that doesn’t change the facts.

I love Matcha, and I’ve been obsessed with it (believe it or not) for 5 years now. It all started when I experienced a tea ceremony for the first time and tasted that liquid goodness.

I drink Matcha every day now. Whether I stop at Starbucks and grab a Matcha latte or I whisk one at home.
